Experienced Accountant Needed

Sterlington Legal Solutions is looking for an experienced accountant with attention to detail and good analytical skills.

Sterlington Legal Solutions is a growing innovative legal business based in New York. We were founded by a former big-law partner who is also an Adjunct Professor at NYU. We provide full service other than litigation, with a focus on high end general corporate and transactional work. Our client list includes top-tier financial institutions, family offices, investment bankers and operating businesses.

This is a remote position for approx. $8-12 per hour. The position is expected to be 40 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounting experience (US GAAP, IRS, etc.)
• On-shore US work experience and/or track record of working multinational corporations highly preferred
• Excellent knowledge of US GAAP
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
• Advanced Excel skills (will be tested during an interview)
• Excellent written and oral English
• BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
• Certification (CPA or CMA) is obligatory
• Tax returns and trust accounting experience is highly preferable
• Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Must have attention to detail and good analytical skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Prepare budget forecasts
• Publish financial statements in time
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely bank payments
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
• Comply with financial policies and regulations

Note that this position may also require doing personal accounting work for members of the management.

Salary: ₹611.00 to ₹917.00 /hour
