Summary

You will serve as a IT Program Manager (Policy & Planning) in the Command and Control Department of COMMANDER, US NAVAL FORCES CENTRAL COM.

Relocation incentives up to 25% may be authorized. The current workweek is Sunday through Thursday. Employees hired from continental U.S. will receive Sunday Premium Pay (computed at 25% of basic hourly rate, eight hours per week).

  • You will ensure IT planning programs, policies, and procedures are consistent and integrated with Federal guidance.
  • You will execute IT life-cycle management processes ensuring placement into the IT program.
  • You will direct the utilization of funds to ensure IT support of strategic goals.
  • You will promote standards based on IT architecture.

      Qualifications

      Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Evaluating current and future business system technical environments based on functional requirements; 2) Overseeing and implementing IT policies and practices for the command ; 3) Analyzing metrics to measure and evaluate systems performance and operational requirements; and 4) Delegating and monitoring IT projects and meeting the four IT related compentencies. NOTE: This experience must be fully supported in your resume.

      Tour of duty will be 18 months unaccompanied or 24 months accompanied.

      The Office of the Secretary of Defense (Personnel and Readiness) limits the number of Bahrain based DoD personnel accompanied tours. Dependent entry approval from Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command is required for all accompanied tours prior to extending the final job offer and prior to issuing Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders. Accompanied tours are not guaranteed.
