Role Description:

Responsible for managing and developing a consistent operating framework and partner marketing program across the Southeast Asia and Korea (SEAK) partner ecosystem, which includes both strategy and program delivery . This role reports into the Marketing Director for the region.

Responsible for working with the VMware SEAK Channel team to reach their revenue goals, through developing dedicated programs that will drive pipeline, enablement and thought leadership/awareness with key distributors, channel partners, system integrators, alliance partners, and other companies in VMware’s partner ecosystem.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work with the SEAK Channel team to develop strategic Go-to-Market plans for distributors, channel partners, Si/SO and OEM partners, in conjunction with the APJ & global partner teams to ensure delivery of effective and consistent worldwide partner & alliances programs
  • Work closely with APJ partner marketing team to manage/ localise the development of marketing programs and initiatives that cater to the SEAK markets
  • Drive the programs with measurable results in high quality leads, marketing pipeline, and effective follow-up through with VMware Partner Business Managers
  • Ensure comprehensive and effective use of Development Funds (DF) to deliver pipeline objectives, including operational processing and compliance of the DF program
  • Report, measure and track the execution of partner marketing programs and
    initiatives for SEAK:
  • Achieve marketing ROI targets
  • Ownership of control and tracking of Development Funds
  • Ownership of all partner communication

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in partner/channel marketing roles in Southeast Asia & Korea
  • A strong understanding of how the IT partner landscape operates through experience in working in an enterprise software or leading IT company. SaaS experience is desirable
  • Ability to build and deliver Go-to-Market programs with key stakeholders – including the ability to initiate and drive fundamental changes in partner marketing strategies, ability to analyze business issues, strategize and prioritize key actions and drive to fruition with the Channel team
  • Confidence to engage with, communicate and influence stakeholders, as well as to act as peer and trusted adviser
  • Strong presentation skills with an ability to present VMware value proposition to the partner community
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionality in a matrix environment

  • Degree or equivalent required,
  • Solid IT marketing or sales experience in a partner environment required
  • Strong Microsoft Office and presentation skills required
  • Excellent interaction skill with executive level
  • Enthusiastic, self-starter and can-do mindset

  • Strong problem solving capabilities at a strategic level
