We are a selective, coeducational, independent Nursery-through-Year 13 school. Our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum for England and Wales, with some adaptations to the local context and offers IGCSE and A Level/BTEC examinations. Teacher of Drama

We are seeking an outstanding, committed and energetic teacher to join as Teacher of Drama starting in August 2020. The candidate must be a team player and must have a passion to achieve high levels of learning. Ability to teach a second subject to KS3/KS4 level will be an advantage.

We are looking for a reflective practitioner who has:

• Enhanced disclosure from the DBS or equivalent, and who are committed to the welfare of all children

• A relevant degree, PGCE or B. ED or the equivalent. This must be in the subject you apply to teach.

• Successful experience of teaching Drama up to A-level

• Confidence with the use of IT in teaching

• High expectations and aspirations for all students

• A commitment to the overall development of young people

Previous teaching experience in a high-performing international school, including preparing students for Oxbridge, is an advantage.

For non-local applicants, interviews will take place via Skype/Zoom. Applicants will be invited to conduct two interviews, one with the Executive Head of BSB and the other with the Head of each school and their Senior Leadership Team. All applicants invited to interview will be asked to submit a short video of them teaching which reflects their educational philosophy and approach to pedagogy.
