Our Team
JPMorgan is looking for an Associate to join the Wealth Management GFCC Compliance team that provides advice to the APAC Private Bank on all matters involving KYC and AML-related laws and regulations affecting client accounts, transactions and products. This role involves working closely with Business and on-boarding teams, as well as collaborating with colleagues from other teams within GFCC. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Singapore WM GFCC Advisory.
Responsibilities
    • Client KYC
      • Develop and oversee the implementation of the client identification and on-boarding program.
      • Advise on KYC requirements and reviews “no objection” requests.
      • Investigate into PEPs, High Risk and other AML related issues and prepares recommendations to the Head of APAC AWM GFCC Advisory.
      • Identifies and manages issues in line with GFCC APAC escalation processes.
    • Policies and Procedures
      • Provide feedback on Firmwide standards to ensure that they are in line with the external regulatory requirements and expectations.
    • Review and update AML related policies and procedures to ensure the internal firm-wide standards and the external regulatory requirements are complied with.
    • Project Management
      • Advise on various AML-related projects and ensuring that the outcome are in line with both the Firms’ internal AML standards and external regulatory requirements.
      • Review/approve initiatives under New Business Initiative Assessment.
    • Staff Training
      • Ensure the GFCC team members, On-boarding teams and Bankers are provided with adequate and appropriate trainings.
      • Attend industry forums to acquire latest regulatory updates.
    • Reporting
      • Support the GFCC Surveillance and Investigations team to perform investigative work required for escalated cases / STR filings.
      • Support WM MLROs in preparation and filing of STRs.
  • Others
    • Lead ad-hoc initiatives.
    • Liaise with regulators/auditors with respect to regulatory onsite examinations, audits
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accountancy, Business, Economics, Finance, Law
  • Experience from banking industry and financial intelligence
  • Good working knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering rules and regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment
  • Attention to detail and control/quality awareness.
  • Good communication skills especially the ability to articulate complex issues to a range of audiences, including business management, other Compliance, Legal and control colleagues, as well as Audit and regulatory authorities.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
